Performance & Settings Checklist
Last updated: Feb 23, 2026
This page is a troubleshooting-first checklist for players who want stable performance before digging into advanced tuning. It focuses on process, not guesses.
1) Start with a clean baseline
- Close overlays and background recording tools you do not need.
- Use fullscreen / borderless mode and compare both if frame pacing feels uneven.
- Disable extra browser tabs and streaming apps during testing.
- Restart the game after changing multiple graphics settings at once.
2) Check where the bottleneck is
- GPU-bound signs: lowering resolution/settings noticeably increases FPS.
- CPU-bound signs: FPS stays similar across settings, but drops during busy moments.
- Stutter signs: average FPS looks fine, but camera movement feels uneven.
3) Settings to test in order
- Resolution / render scale
- Shadows and post-processing
- Effects quality and view distance
- V-Sync / frame cap
- Fullscreen vs borderless
Test environment (fill this in after your own runs)
Use this section as your site's original value layer. Add your own machine specs, resolution, graphics preset, and notes (for example: “stutter improved after frame cap 60”).
- CPU / GPU / RAM
- Resolution + preset
- Average FPS / 1% low (if measured)
- Map or scenario tested
- What improved / what did not
Source notes
System requirement references should be cross-checked against the official Steam store page. If your real-world results differ from the minimum/recommended specs, document the test setup clearly instead of assuming the requirements are wrong.
