Co-op Playbook for Burglin' Gnomes
Last updated: Feb 23, 2026
This page turns the basic co-op idea into a repeatable team process: assign roles, keep comms short, and decide early whether your run is risk-first or loot-first.
Suggested roles
- Pathfinder: checks routes and timing windows before the team commits.
- Hauler: prioritizes valuables and manages carrying risk.
- Bait: draws attention at controlled moments to create openings.
- Saver: handles recoveries and prevents a bad moment from wiping the run.
Comms rules that actually help
- Call location first, then problem.
- Use short phrases instead of full explanations during pressure.
- Confirm pivots (“rotate”, “extract”, “regroup”).
- Avoid talking over the pathfinder during crossings.
Risk-first plan
- Stabilize movement routes before chasing valuables.
- Set a regroup point everyone can reach quickly.
- Rotate toward extraction earlier than you think.
Loot-first plan
- Hit high-value rooms while the house is still quiet.
- Rotate carriers so one mistake does not lose the whole haul.
- Exit with a preplanned cleanup path, not an improvised sprint.
Guide scope
This is a practical team framework for players and is not an official design document. Adapt roles to your group size, map familiarity, and how aggressive your team likes to play.
